Petridis Architects came into existence on March 51983, in George Petridis' parent's rumpus room. lt wasa Saturday, so not much time was spent working thatfirst day: a drawing board was set up, tracing paperwas stacked, and 3 rotring pens, a .25, .35 and .5 wereset along the bottom of the board.

The practice's early work was characterised bylarger new homes for young new couples, generallyin the middle suburbs. lt then transitioned to a diversearray of work for community groups before movingto residential developments of medium-and-highdensity,i.e.townhouses and apartments. This is whatthe practice became known for, and has specialised in,for the last 25 years.

Petridis Architects' clients are both the builders whocreate the townhouse and apartment developments,and the residents who then live in them. With regardto builders, we strive to make the best advantageof given sites and their natural attributes, and of theplanning and building regulations pertaining to thosesites. With regard to the resident end-users, we striveto provide spacious, sun-and-light filled, enjoyable.happy and memorable environments.
